So, when you go to measure a jacket you want to sell just measure your jacket following these steps. I found this years back from another website, I forgot the name of that site, but this is what I learned from that site. It has helped me over the years and I think it helps eBay buyers feel more confident buying a jacket online knowing they have some approximate measurements to go by!

(1.) measure the chest: Measure from one underarm to the other. Multiply that number by 2.
(2.) measure the sweep(waist): Measure across the waist from one end to the other. Multiply that number by 2.
(3.) measure the shoulder: Measure across the upper back from one shoulder to the other. (DO NOT multiply by 2)
(4.) measure the sleeves. Measure from the top shoulder down to the hem of the sleeve. (DO NOT multiply by 2)
(5.) measure the back. Measure from the top neck down the middle to the hem. (DO NOT multiply by 2)
